I started at the clinic in 2019 and was previously a co-op student, which led to my first role as an Animal Care Attendant. Over the years, I have expanded my skills and knowledge and am currently a Veterinary Assistant. I am also enrolled in the Veterinary Technician program through Penn Foster.
I chose a career with animals because I have a passion for them and thrive in caring for their needs, and enjoy learning new things. In the past, I have had birds and guinea pigs as pets. When I started at the clinic, I fell in love with a stray dog and brought him home. Unfortunately, he has recently passed. I have two other dogs, one of which I brought home from work and one I rescued from Turkey.
My favourite hobby brings me back to animals. I have my own horse, which I love working with and riding. Myself and my wonderful son Clyde share a passion for animals. As he is growing up, he has begun to follow in my footsteps, as well as his dad’s, who works with pigs. You could say animal care and love are a family affair in my house!
